Nicknamed “The Chairman of the Board”, Whitey Ford spent his entire career pitching for the New York Yankees from 1950-1967. During that time he helped lead the Yankees to 6 World Series Championships and awarded MVP for the 1961 World Series, shutting out the Reds twice (games 1 and 4). Ford also led the AL in wins and won the CY Young award for his incredible performance in ‘61, and inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1974 after retiring in 1968.
