The 1967 Rookie of the Year and 1977 MVP, Rod Carew, was an exceptional hitter–winner of 7 batting titles (tied for 4th all-time) and an 18-time All-Star. Carew retired with a career .328 batting average and a member of the 3000 Hit Club (3053 career hits).
Carew was elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991.
