  • This ball features some of the greatest players to play the game in the modern era following World War II: phenomenal hitters like Ted Williams, one of the greatest hitters baseball has ever seen and the last player to bat over .400 (.406); Al Kaline, with over 3,000 (3,006) career hits and possibly the greatest Detroit Tigers hitter since Ty Cobb; as well as the power hitting Willie McCovey; one of the greatest second baseman of all time, Joe Morgan; and the Brooklyn Dodgers great shortstop, Pee Wee Reese.

Yogi Berra, winning the most World Series Championships (10) in history, along with his New York Yankees teammates, Johnny Mize, Enos Slaughter and pitcher, Whitey Ford; other Hall of Fame pitchers include, Early Wynn and Fergie Jenkins.

In 1948, Minnie Miñoso was the first Black Cuban player in the major leagues and the first black player on the White Sox, and shortly followed by Monte Irvin in 1949.

The Official Bobby Brown American League baseballs (manufactured in Haiti) were utilized by professional baseball from 1985-1989, when the ball was initially signed.
