Robinson is considered the greatest defensive third baseman to play the game. He received 16 Gold Glove awards in his 23 year career, tied second with Jim Kaat for the most all-time at any position. He led the Orioles to two World Series victories (1966 and 1970), received the AL MVP in 1964 and 18 time All-Star. More recently, Robinson was honored in 2015 as one of the Orioles Franchise Four alongside Frank Robinson, Jim Palmer and Cal Ripken, Jr--the four greatest players in Orioles history.
Robinson was elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.
