8-time All-Star, Bob Feller joined the Major Leagues at 17 years old and spent his entire 18 year career with the Cleveland Indians. Feller recorded three no-hitters and 12 one-hitters; won 20 or more games 6 times, which also led the league all 6 times; and led the league in strikeouts 7 times. His 1946 348 strikeout season record held up for the next 19 years until Sandy Koufax struckout 382 in 1965. Feller is among only a few pitchers to claim the pitching triple crown--leading the league in ERA, Wins and Strikeouts in 1940.
In 1948, Feller and the Indians won a record setting 111 games, leading the Indians to a World Series Championship with fellow teammates: player-manager Lou Boudreau, Larry Doby and pitching greats, Bob Lemon and Satchel Paige.
Feller was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962.
